Queens and Jacks Dance Club Caller
Profile
Glenn Watts started square dancing with the Twirling Teens Square Dance Club under the teaching of Tom Beckerleg.
At a ripe old age of 12, Glenn began calling, as a guest caller, at many different dances.
In 1983, Glenn attended Callers School, with George Schritt, in Red Deer.
Glenn danced and called for a period of approximately 14 years, ending his dancing and calling after the end of the 1995 dance season, during which he was the Mainstream Caller for the Single Eights Square Dance Club. He then pursued other activities.
After more than a 10-year absence, he returned to square dancing and calling in 2006.
As of the summer of 2007 onward, Glenn will be calling for the Queens & Jacks Square Dance Club for their Mainstream Dances and teaching their New Beginners.
At this time, Glenn’s wife, Angie, and his daughter, Becky, do not square dance, but we hope that they will “see the light” in the years to come.
