Baba's Round Dance Club Cuer

Profile of Ron and Donna Baba

Ron and Donna Baba started square dancing in 1966 in Vancouver B.C. and round dancing in 1967. In January 1969 they started teaching rounds and have completed 35 years of teaching. Our present Round Dance Club – Baba’s Rounds, consists of classes from the Beginners to Phase IV.

They have participated in three Canadian National Conventions, and four U.S. National Square And Round Dance Conventions. Ron and Donna are members of ROUNDALAB, Dixie Round Dance Council, The Square & Round Dance Instructors Association of Alberta, and Calgary Callers Association.

Square & Round dancing is their main recreation and has given them the pleasure of traveling and making several new friends while teaching and dancing at various weekend festivals in many Canadian Provinces and U.S. States.

They have now enjoyed living in Calgary for two years and have a custom engraving business at which Donna works full time. Ron has recently retired and will enjoy having more time to spend on their Round Dance program.

In the spring of 2008 Ron and Donna moved to Medicine Hat. While the Baba's Round dance club is being closed, it is replaced by the CueSteps Round Dance Club which Ron and Donna will be Cueing.,/P>
